Wayne Gretzky laced up his hockey skates for Canada for two decades. A native of Brantford, Ontario Gretzky is an icon in his home country and has been honored with multiple statues, a highway, and a sports center named after his likeness. Wayne was 16 years old when he first donned the National red and white sweater as member of the 1978 World Junior team. He was the youngest participant, but managed to lead the tournament in goals and was named an all-star. His individual dominance continued as he grew older and the national team began to flourish under his leadership. He left international play in 1998, as the record holder in goals, assists, and most overall points in best on best hockey.
This specially designed shadow box commemorates Gretzky’s contributions and contains a limited edition (199) designed Team Canada image with an autographed clear acrylic stick blade. Wayne Gretzky has inked his name in gold paint pen. The overall framed piece measures 24" x 16”. Gretzky’s signature was witnessed under UDA’s Five-Step Authentication Process.
